In objuective 3 you work on square roots and solving given formulas. I had one, question 52, that says, The velocity of a falling object is described by the fromula v=sqrt(2gh), where v is velocity, g is the acceleration due to gravity, and h in the dictance the object has fallen. Find the velocity of an obgect if it has fallen 35 m. Use g= 9.75m/s^2.
First you find out that g= 9.75 and that h=35. You put those numbers into the given formula:
v=sqrt((2)(9.75)(35))
You then sovle inside the sqrt:
v=sqrt(682.5
You then find the sqrt of 682.5 and you get 26.1247 which can be rounded to 26.
Therefore v=26
